Who Are We
PowerTeamTT, a partnership of Trinidad and Tobago based John Maxwell Coaches, Speakers and Trainers in Leadership, has a vision of transforming how leaders lead in order to bring a new culture of leadership to our nation. In this regard, for the past five years we have hosted the John Maxwell Company Live2Lead Leadership Simulcast in our country. We have attracted hundreds of leaders in state and private business to be exposed to a different style of leadership from persons who are very successful in the field, including of course John Maxwell himself.
We also conducted workshops and mastermind training sessions with State and Private Sector organizations. We host the Live2Lead Simulcast in October of each year as well as leadership workshops and activities throughout the year all geared to develop these skills in persons who are required to lead.
The registered partnership PowerTeamTT was born out of a desire to transform the face of leadership in our twin island country of Trinidad and Tobago and beyond. Our intention is to address personal and business growth desires of individuals, businesses and organizations that will lead them to new levels of success. We ascribe to the view that “Everything rises and falls on leadership”. We help leaders choose to adopt the direction of the business or organization and create an environment where people understand the benefits of and become willing to serve each other because in doing so, everyone grows and advances. This is the philosophy that PowerTeamTT is bringing to our country.

Maria Dillon-Remy
I am a trained pediatrician, who spent thirty-five years working in the healthcare field in Trinidad and Tobago, first as consultant pediatrician and then as a hospital medical director. I also served on the transition team responsible for the commissioning of the new 100-bed hospital on the Island of Tobago. This career path has allowed me to experience some of the challenges faced by those who are charged with making a difference in the healthcare industry. My working years were full of opportunities for success and failure, and I have learned the art of “failing forward."
Since joining the John Maxwell Team in October 2013, I now serve on the President’s Advisory Council and became an Executive Director in March 2017. In March 2018, I was a part of the team of coaches that conducted training in Values Round Tables in Costa Rica as the start of a movement of leadership transformation in that country.
I am chair of the Facilities Review Committee of Children’s homes that was set up by the Division of Health, Wellness and Family Development in May 2017. This committee is tasked with advising the Secretary of that division on all matters pertaining to the welfare of children in community homes, nurseries and foster homes on the island.
I am passionate about seeing people in all spheres of society develop to their God-given potential. However, I am particularly interested in the development of persons within governmental and business institutions, the healthcare field, faith-based organizations and community-based organizations, because of the potential they have to impact the development of our society.
Janice James
As an educator I spent 21 years teaching at the secondary school level helping hundreds of students to become not only academically balanced but to understand what it takes to fulfill their potential and the strong values that should frame their lives. Working with students, teachers and principals have caused me to experience and observe many of the challenges that educators encounter on a daily basis and the need to leadershift to be more effective in these changing times.
As the founder and leader of a non- profit organization I am involved in leading vulnerable women stuck in life, to see value in themselves, know where they are, where they want to go and how to get there. We have launched a radio programme called REACHING OUT that is designed to reach out with hope to emotionally wounded persons.
I am a director at Training Anchor, a leadership training, personal and spiritual development institute with a vision to provide training for every department in religious organisations. I also do Life coaching and one on one online training.
I am on the advisory board of Women With A Mission an organisation that helps at risk women and the Rental Manager at Millennium Property Management Company.
My passion is not just to help transform the present leadership culture in three key pillars of society: education, religion and the family but to help develop the next generation of leaders who will carry the baton in the not too distant future. Transformation is the key to sustained change and I look forward to not just personal change but to being a change agent in the life of others.
Monica Rogers-Fletcher
I am an Executive Director at the John Maxwell Team and a certified Coach, Trainer and Speaker in Leadership and Personal Growth and Development. A former executive banker for 30 years, my expertise is in stimulating growth, leadership transformation and success in Business Owners, Leaders and their Teams. I have been trained and continue to be mentored by John Maxwell and his faculty including UK renowned Coach, Christian Simpson and Speaker, Roddy Galbraith as well as Paul Martinelli, President of the John Maxwell Team, Speaker and internationally successful businessman.
My experience in Coaching and Leadership Development includes individuals locally and internationally and Teams in both Public organizations and Private Businesses. I am on the President’s Advisory Council of the John Maxwell Team, supporting the needs of over 25,000 members spanning 140 countries, almost every country in the world.
I have also journeyed with the team on leadership transformation missions to Guatemala, Paraguay and Costa Rica at the invitation of the Presidents of those countries. I am the leader of PowerTeamTT who is celebrating its fifth year of hosting the John Maxwell Live2Lead leadership simulcast in our country and I also led an international team, Creating Teams for Success on the Simulcast Advisory Council of the John Maxwell Team. I have recently launched the very first Maxwell Speakers Club in Trinidad and Tobago in July, 2018. I am also the Secretary to the Board of Vision on Mission.
I am trained, experienced and ready to equip business owners and organization leaders experiencing people, relationship and performance challenges, with the tools and resources they need to make changes to their thinking, actions and behaviors which will ultimately improve their circumstances and results leading to their greater success. My vision is to transform the way leaders lead in my country and beyond and I am working assiduously with trained leaders and coaches to achieve this noble objective.
